Take a look at this

Would it work for you?

This looks interesting thanks.
Of course in true Avid convoluted fashion, no “1-year Upgrade” link is visible anywhere on "my Products" page...

What I have on the upper right is a link that says:
"Support Customers - if you do not see your System ID listed below click here to claim your upgrade"

Again, I indeed don't find any system ID's anywhere on my products page, and when I click the link to claim my upgrade, it asks me for guess what ?
my system ID. Hilarious ? Pathetic ? not sure...

Nothing in the "My special offers" either BTW.
And no, Avid link doesn't launch on Mavericks, I did take the time to try

Latest supported PT version on Mavericks would be PT 12.7.1 and Avid Link is way more current than that

I've opened a case with sales support, lost again in Avid's labyrinth...

no idea where to find that system ID, I have 15 different products in my account, the system ID's field is plain empty for all...
Maybe I bought them before System ID's were introduced ? My last AVid purchase was an upgrade to PT10, in 2013...

The upgrade is available from within an expired Software Updates + Support Plan in my.avid.com/products. PT10/11 did not include that or a System ID, so you would instead follow the "From a Reseller" steps listed in the FAQ to purchase the upgrade.

To your original post... https://shop.avid.com/ccrz__ProductD...?sku=DYNA20004 includes a "Perpetual License Trade-Up from Pro Tools" that would take you from your Pro Tools 11 license to Pro Tools Ultimate.

Thank you @JFreak, @jeffro, that is a little more clear !
So in order to know actual cost for this upgrade, I need to ask reseller ? Or is pricing from PT11 to Ultimate available somewhere publicly ?

I remember at the time, moving from PT TDM 8 to PT HD 10 which included 11 (that wasn't branded HD) not sure if my current possible upgrade path would be from 10 HD or 11 (HD or not ?)

And last of all, would this new upgrade path let me keep my PT HD 10 license (and accel hardware) as I still need to be able to open my old sessions ?

Thank you

It looks like a 2 stage upgrade to me. First to reinstate to current PT regular is $249. Then to upgrade to Ultimate, that is $1,899. All together - $2,148, vs a brand new Ultimate license of $2,599.

Hopefully a rep can do a better deal than that.

Thanks for the info, did you find out if it’s required to surrender the last license from where they upgrade ?

Cheers

Most likely yes, the old goes away and new fresh bundle comes in

It does make sense as (almost) everything from the AAX transition should open on the newest system
Which is not the case with TDM mix sessions (including TDM plugins) which probably make up for a LOT of commercially released material.
And as we know, things always come back full circle, and need new tweaks.
I can’t be the only person who doesn’t wanna brick their TDM sessions for ever.
There should be a commercially sensible way to retain a TDM license.
All plugin manufacturers I dealt with so far (Soundtoys, FabFilter, McDsp), will let you keep your old licenses if you ask after buying an upgrade. Or grant you an authorization for older versions, free of charge.
