Default mp3 Option vs. mp3 Export

I am really loving Digi and PT - but I gotta say - sometimes figuring things out, whether they be in the software, or with the products, is like playing an adventure game. You have to solve a series of puzzles before getting to where you want to go.

Anyway - according to what I interpret, the Opion allows to to export to mp3's AND import mp3's into a session. However, the Export only allows the export.

They are the same price. I know, not a lot of money - but what's the point of the Export version?

The export is for older versions of Pro Tools. From the MP3 Export page :
Quote:
* Pro Tools users with Pro Tools 5.1 or higher software should use the MP3 Option.

That makes sense - I thought I read all the details, must have missed that one.

Another puzzle solved! I think I'll buy the option.
