Older versions available?
First off, I'm a total beginner and really bad with computers so sorry if this is a ridiculous question. Basically my tape deck broke and a friend gave me an old iMac so I could start burning cd's of my records to listen to in the car. I downloaded the free pro tools software and it said I didn't have enough memory (I only have 96MB) and to turn off my virtual memory (which I did). Then when I tried to open it it said DAE Error -2004, and I realized that I probably don't have enough memory to run this program. So...does anyone know if there is a way to get an older version that my computer would support. I have an iMac, 96MB Ram, 233 Mhz, using OS 9.2 Or does anyone know of other free (or really cheap but reliable) software? Not looking for anything fancy really. Anyway, thanks so much for any help.

Re: Older versions available?
Older version of PT Free. Don't know if it will hang with 9.2. I've run it briefly on 9.0.4.
Coaster Simple 2-track recorder with some cool features (like actual level readings on the meters) for OS9. |
