Also what is crashing, your original post says Logic crashes on open...is this still the case ?

It’s all latest.

Logic 10.4.1
Protools is 2018.4 if I remember correctly.
MacOS 10.13.6

I also use it along with Metric Halo MIO console which supports EuCon. The MIO console is a software mixer for their ULN8 interfaces and the artist control has locked the monitoring section on MIO mixer.

It’s generally random. Yesterday EuCon crashed after fresh installation as soon as macOS booted.

Other times the unit looses connection while using it and avid logo is displayed.

Other times the unit freezes completely and I have to turn it of and back on.

OK, these things all point to a network issue. The fact it crashes on OSX boot is key...its only doing one thing...checking the network. Have you tried both ports...does the issue change? Do you have access to a USB or Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter? Have you tried a direct cable into one of the Artist mixes ?

I bought an extra NIC just to test. Installed it on the Mac. No change. Same issues. The unit is directly connected at this point. No switch between.

No actually, on boot also the MIO mixer boots and tries to load EuCon which I use the monitoring section with.

But if it’s a issue with the metric halo MIO mixer wouldn’t be that one to crash instead of EuCon ?

Not necessarily. The new 18.3 installer now has a really good clean up script in it. Firstly make sure it's the correct version 18.3.0.244. Run the installer and select uninstall All and then select the remove all prefs etc box. reinstall after

Hello,

I tried uninstalling everything using the latest .244 installer and reinstalling EuCon from scratch.

MIO is disabled (no eucon).

Still the unit looses connection all the time.

I'm not so sure if this is a network issue.

Just to check, I have a ping running on a terminal window, pinging the artist control IP constantly. The next time I see the unit go offline I'll check if there's any time out on the ping, but I doubt there will be.

In my opinion unless someone logs in to my computer to do some serious debugging there's no way this issue will be resolved.
