Default Authorizations of Plug-Ins

Okay, What am I doing wrong?

I purchased ML4000. Added license to iLok. Put iLok in. Installed on console. It won't authorize. Wants to use a license card or challenge question. It will read all other authorizations on the iLok, but not the ML4000. I've even tried adding the license to another iLok, no success. I've tried installing both the ML4000 for PT and Venue; neither works.

The hardest part about these consoles seems to be getting plug-ins installed and authorized. In the past I've spent about two hours dicking around with everything.

Ken, I've been through this, it's most likely that between the software and the ilok, one is the "HD" version and one is not. Get HD for both if you can and you should be in business.

If you have the correct license, then it is likely an ilok issue. I would suggest downloading the ilok driver update from pace. This often takes care of any issues that I have. Incidentally I have done this several times on different desks with the ML4000 as it is a plugin that I use often.

Nic-

I downloaded the most recent iLok driver from pace still with nothing. Are you using the HD version of ML4000 or Venue version?

Did you recently purchase this? Did you get a license for version 4 or version 5? Currently, version 5 will not work with Venue. Last I heard was Q3 of 2011.

You should contact McDSP. They're usually really good for helping out with this sort of thing. If you purchased v5, they can probably get you something that will work now until v5 is working for Venue.
