Default Does anyone make an SSL 4K channel strip AAX DSP?

Not native. DSP.

I want the convenience of a channel strip that's been part of my work flow for years and the low latency of DSP. Can't seem to find one.
Does anyone make one or planning on making one?

I have learned so far that Softube has a UK4K but you have to buy the controller to get it. Waves is AAX native only. And all other solutions seem to need more hardware which causes more latency.

All tips are appreciated.
thanks
mike

DSP Channel Strips:

McDSP G Channel
Metric Halo-Channel Strip
Softube Grand Channel
Softube TubeTech CLassic channel
Avid's Channel Strip.

That's about it.

I'm hoping Waves will eventually find their lost brain, but currently things do not look that great.

Slate digital VCC has one in it but it's native also.

Keep in mind that the Slate VCC is only the sound of running through the SSL channel, not the EQ or compression.

I believe Cytomic's the glue is suppose to go AAX DSP. That'll get you the compressor. I'm sure someone will come out with an SSL DSP channel strip.

Yes, been using the WAVES SSL and that works great with the Dcommand but Waves not having AAX DSP has got me evaluating that whole situation. So, as soon as a suitable DSP version comes out, I'll be happy to try something else.

Waves will have an AAX DSP version...it just won't be an HDX version.

Waves will be using a separate DSP box, much like Universal Audio's architecture...

Just rockin'...what more is there?

Hi Bill!
I got the same advice from Waves that I should consider their new hardware. However, I'm trying to keep the latency down to a minimum and an extra 32 samples is a step in the wrong direction for my work flow, especially tracking bands. I know that not everyone's needs are the same. No biggie though. I feel confident that someone will come and fill the void.... sooner or later. If you hear of anything interesting, let me know!
Thanks!
mike

I'm with you Mike. Waves should release their SSL and API bundles AAX-DSP before someone else takes that spot from them. But if they don't, I'll follow the new leader.
