Default Fixing issues with external sound modules

Hi all -

Using a moog slim phatty as an external sound module with PT. Most of the time, it works, but occasionally the audio ouout just plain stops until I do a hard reset. Someone at the moog forum suggested that I try *not* sending midi clock to the SP.

Does someone here know how to check whether I am sending the SP midi clock or not, and disable if I am? I don't see a mention of MIDI clock in the reference guide though.

I can send midi to the SP either via USB or DIN (via a USB to DIN converter). (Currently using USB just because it's easier.)

(I never have these issues with my Juno-106 BTW. Despite the MIDI implementation being decades older it seems rock solid.)

Thanks!

Thank you!

(I searched for "Midi clock" rather than "Midi beat clock") 🤣 🤦*♂️

And yeah....Two thumbs up for the venerable Juno 106!
And yeah, love the 106! I'm a pretty poor keyboardist, so it's the first Juno that's at all useful to me (I think the 60 and previous are midi-less), but the sounds in there are lovely!

Yes as old as it is and as one of the early MIDI synths it is very functional. Sysex makes it cake to use with a computer. I will never part with mine.

Some of the old stuff can overload with extraneous MIDI data. Surprised it's an issue for the Phatty.
