Well that is one opinion. Another one would be it's just clever everything that is not HDN or HDX is on the same line with 32 i/o cap. Avid makes policies, we just need to deal with it.

One option could be getting into Dante. You could use its routing to save different patch configurations for different tasks to the first 32 i/o.

Why? All other DAWS has got rid of these linitations like midi track VI track counts and i/o limits so why not PT? Why would I moderate that? It is My Opinion! Al I only allowed to have your opinion then!?

Haha sure man. Have your opinion, but have some integrity if you’re going to moderate a PT forum and and keep it to yourself.
People are here because they want to use Pro Tools.

Sorry but I have to disagree here.

We are first and foremost users in this forum and that blue badge is there whether we are talking as ourselves or with mod hat on. It is just stupid to always mention that "hey, what i say next i say as myself so mod hat is off now..." unless it is absolutely necessary to avoid confusion.

I also hate it when people say something and then end it with "just my opinion though". Of course anything you write is your opinion unless you specifically reference someone other's policy or whatever.

So If I for example post that "Waves screwed us by not selling AAX-DSP" then of course it is my opinion and no matter how good or bad relationship Avid and Waves have with each others do not make me change my opinion.

It would really suck if this forum was 100% facts and policies only. User forum needs opinions.

With power becomes responsibility. You don’t get to choose when to do the right thing when you’re wearing a badge.

What use is saying “get a different DAW” to someone who is discussing on an AVID forum how to get the best out of Pro Tools for their needs??
If that’s someone’s opinion, there are other places to express that where it is useful. It is not useful here.
