Pro Tools LE 8.0.5.1 & Mountain Lion
Hey guys,
I've recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion, after reading many posts that say the PTLE 8 work fine on the new OS, and it does to a certain degree. The problem is that ever since i upgraded loading plugins takes forever. What used to take 10-15 seconds, no takes more than a minute. This happens with every plugin, including the ones that came with PT, so not just Waves for instance. It also takes about a minute to save the Playback Engine configuration. It took less on Snow Leopard. I did everything from trashing the database to deleting the Waves plugin cache (saw this suggestion somewhere here), to running the Disk Utility.. but nothing seems to make it better. If I have to I will downgrade back to Snow Leopard, but since I did read that people have managed to make it work well, I was hoping that there's a simpler solution. Not sure it matters, but i'm on a mid 2011 Macbook Pro 2Ghz Intel Core i7 with 16GB of RAM. Appreciate the help! |
