Nugen -- Authorizing with iLok, how?

I just purchased a license of Nugen's VisLM-H plugin from an online discount retailer. I was instantly sent a registration code. However, the website says it's possible to put the license on one's iLok. I haven't yet received a response to my support question, so I thought I'd ask it here: Does anybody know how to register the Nugen loudness meter to your iLok? I'm afraid to use the supplied code, 'cause I don't want to lock myself into something I don't want. I move from edit bay to edit bay, so I definitely don't want to register the software to this machine because I'll be moving in 4 weeks.

You need to login to your NuGen account (use same email login you originally purchased with) and go to My Purchases (or something to that effect). In there you can choose to redeem as a challenge/response (single system) or ilok redemption.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I think I'll have to wait for support to get back to me, because I ordered from an authorized reseller, and I was automatically sent a license code. I might have been put in the "single system" mode by default. Hopefully because I didn't use the code yet, they can square me away with an iLok license when they get up and running in the U.K. Fingers crossed.

It's a good idea to wait for support to be sure, however I believe once you redeem with the code you have the option to switch to the iLok (from that choice you cannot go back).

The NuGen guys are really cool dudes, you'll be fine either way - I'm sure they'll will assist you by manually changing your authorization if need be. In fact, I'm surprised its taking this long to hear back - Probably at NAB!

If you're in a pinch I'd redeem it, I believe you can make that change after redeeming.

Yep, all's good. Heard from them and you're exactly right. Register the code on their site, and then you're given the option to convert it to an iLok license.
