Plug-ins missing from the multichannel insert menu
This is strange! I am now using Pro Tools 8 and when I try to insert a Waves multichannel compressor on any channel, they are not in the menu (IE: API,SSL). Here is the part that does not add up; the multi mono ones are available in the channel insert menu and they are all available in the AudioSuite. The next odd thing is they appear and work fine in the previous save 7.4 sessions that I am now working with in PT8. The multichannel Waves plugs work fine, I just cannot choose them. I have them in saved session on some channels and cannot add them to another channel. Why would they be in the AudioSuite and not in the individual channel insert menu??? This is driving me nuts to the point that I did a complete reload of Windows and all software. Still missing? Is there a manual way to add plug-ins to the channel insert menu?

I am having the exact same problem!! Still trying to figure out a way to get my SSL to show up in the multichannel menu. I use that compressor on all of my vocals!! Installed PTLE8 last night, no dice. If you find out anything, let me know, and I will do the same.

~Yeah~
You're going to need to upgrade to the current version (6.0.8 currently, IIRC) to ensure compatibility with PT8.

I just talked to an associate of mine with the waves 6 update. He is having the exact same issue??? He is on XP, PT8, and Waves SSL with update 6 and cannot access his SSL compressor in the multichannel menu, but it is in the AudioSuite. Now what?

I told him to set up an account so he can also get some help. Other than the Waves plug in issue, everthing else seems to be fine so far. It will take some time to get through everything with PT8. I will post anything else I find.
