Midi patch names from DP to PT
Hi all, just wanting to force myself to use PT's midi. I've been putting this off since DP 4.xx. But now I can't deal with running DAE under DP 5.11. For starters, I miss Vision's superb midi implementation and environment, DP is okay but can't deal with its buggy DAE "compatibility" but at least my midi patch names were working. I can't seem to "port" that over to PT even with the help of CherryPicker 2.62 (Pro Tools format). I've read the stickies, followed it as much as I could (I am a musician, not a computer geek) and whenever I try to select the patches (JV-1080) I get this error message "MIDIServer patch file, bank, or mode information not available for this instrument"... Please help 'cause I can't seem to see any midi names or access the external card libraries. The .midnam files are at Library>Audio>MIDI Patch Names>Digidesign, and I do see Digi's device list at Library>Audio>MIDI Devices>Digidesign Device List.middev. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
PT 7.3.1, HD Accell 2, G5 Dual 2.7, OSX 10.4.8, 4.5G ram
