Yey - Continuous Page Scrolling

This is one feature I've been waiting for in LE (now its in PT9) I am happy - couldn't see why it hasnt been implemented earlier in LE though.

If you ponyed up 2K for the CPTK. It may have been included the DVTK2 also.

Yes it's good to see this feature back.

We lost it at some point i remember asking myself during an update (5.1??) now where is this option, where they have put this checkbox...arrr not possible!

That's funny, cuz in the manual (p. 56, p. 412) it still says this is available for "(Pro Tools HD and Pro Tools with Complete Production Toolkit 2 Only)".

It also says on p. 413 "Scrolling During Playback uses host processing power, so use this option with host-based Pro Tools systems only when absolutely necessary", but I gotta say it doesn't seem to have any impact on my CPU usage (I am i7 960, and Win 7).

Continuous scroll is a drain on the computer. Not such a problem for today's computers, but a couple years ago it could affect the work flow of an LE session. That may be part of the reason it was removed as a standard feature, though I assume it has more to do with pushing the feature into Production Toolkit land where they can charge for it.
