Looking for this distorted bass sound?

Hi guys. Sorry to do this again but Im going nuts here. Ive been studying a lot of Kpop and this one is kinda old (and cheesy) but its got me stumped.

There's two main tracks. 1 is the lead, I got that covered. Its the bass I cant find anywhere that kicks in at the chorus. Couldn't even get close with Aeon.
Its a distorted bass that almost sounds like a humbucker pickup, really in your face, brittle and crunchy with more bite than Jaws. I cant really describe it but here is the link (0:36)

If you might know where I can find it I would appreciate it. I suspect it may be in hardware territory. Not sure.

It can be anything analog and awesome. I can reproduce that sound with our Prophet 5 and Juno 106 BUT these sounds are probably not any of those synths as it sounds like a normal bass sound possibly run thru some effects.

Asking these things is very hard to answer for any of us as the sounds can have lots of tweeks and effects and run thru GTR3 for example which we do every day so you need to experiment.

I can't hear anything really proprietary in that bass as it sounds like most bass leads with a little distortion and compressor on it and eq to make it fit.

Older reFX expansions have bunches of those types of presets.

the actual sound is played in the first 6 seconds of the track. In the chorus the sound is played an octave down.

You can get that sound from Massive, FM8.


I remix a good bit of Kpop.
