Question about speech/voice elimination.
I am trying to learn about any of the ProTools products, be they software or
hardware, which can do Vocals or Speech Elimination, from a PC sound card's convoluted audio stream, either -In Real Time, particularly with Digital style input. -From a sampled Audio File, in any of the major audio file formats. -I want to successfully eliminate all convoluted speech or vocals, without leaving any audible low mumble at all, and without introducing sound artifacts. I have found that plugins and techniques with Audacity aren't sufficient in these quality areas for my needs. -I am using a High End PC, with a particular sound card, which has Left and Right mono outputs. -What can I buy, how effective is it, and how much would I pay in Australian dollars, AUS$, from my music store getting something in? |

Re: Question about speech/voice elimination.
I don't have any specific recommendations, but you might get some ideas from The Truth About Vocal Eliminators by Ethan Winer.
Not something I have any experience with, so I'll leave it to other members that may be able to suggest something for you. (and moving this to the Tips & Tricks forum) |

It's amazing how many people think they have a high end setup and then when they post their specs here they find out it isn't so. Most software nowadays is download only and even if you get a boxed versions it won't be the latest updated version and you'll end up downloading updates anyways. What are you using this for? Depending on that you may not need the perfection you're chasing. |

Re: Question about speech/voice elimination.
You might have better luck by Googling "remove vocal from recording"...there have been tons of things around over the years claiming to do this...haven't tried any so I can't make a recommendation...

Re: Question about speech/voice elimination.
^ i used it to try and separate a vocal and violin track from a metal tune.
i was able to coax a little more separation in the tracks but i ended up doing just as well using m/s techniques... e
