Default Yes, he really played this!

I do mostly live sound work, recording and mixing. You get to hear some interesting things in the course of this kind of work.

This is a recent capture. Enjoy! :)

Sounds like extremely sloppy noodling....the kind a stuff you do when you first start playing guitar. "check me out I'm Paul Gilbert" haha

Hard to judge without hearing the backing instruments and song. The player could have been following the chords perfectly....

But yes, it just sounds like "look what I can do!"

To the OP: You were winking when you said "Enjoy", right?

A lot of notes there...and absolutely nothing being communicated except "listen to how many notes I can play in two minutes". It was boring after 15 seconds.

Jimmy Page plays cleaner than that.

Sorry, I don't care what chords are under that, it was a mess.

lmao

Seriously though, I would have loved to hear what the player was hearing. It's like the family guy episode where they get really stoned and play live on stage "Handful of Peter." And then Brian shows them what they really sounded like.

Well, in context it is slightyly better. Still working on the mix for these guys. I will see if I can grab this little gem with the rest of the band.
