1 second bounce....
Hi,
For a multimedia project, I had to bounce several loops of 1 second or less ; When it plays on the ProTools, the loop is fine, but when it's bounced, it doesn't loop at all What do you think about this ? Is there some kind of latency using "Bounce to disk" ? |

Re: 1 second bounce....
If you need something to loop your much better off using "export selected as files"
If you need TDM processing - You could A.) Caculate the total sample of delay imposed by all your TDM plugs and select an area to compendate for bouncing B.) BTD and import after bounce. Trim the bounced file so it loops properly and then export that as a file. Pain in the ass? yes . . . I too have found BTD adds too much delay to keep files looping properly. Re: 1 second bounce....
Hi Aquarius,
I am also having this problem. Digi needs urgently to do something about BtD. Anyways, there is a workaround: setup an aux and channel all your tracks into that aux. On the aux you can insert your mastering plugs etc and then you feed the output of that aux to a new stereo track (or two grouped mono-tracks for that matter) and set these two in record mode. Loop until you get it right and finally hit record. Afterwards you still need to convert the two .sd2-files but if you have a batch processor, this is rather easy to acomplish. Good luck, Dan |

Re: 1 second bounce....
Just to be clear, it's not BTD that causes this problem, it's plugin sample delay, which is a feature of all digital recording systems.

Re: 1 second bounce....
Hi DrTone,
I'm not shure I've well understood your technique.... After recording the output from the aux channel, how do you export the resulting files ? Do you use "export selected as files" ? |

Re: 1 second bounce....
Just to be Clear David. This has been a problem since the start of Pro Tools. All the other DAW manufacturers have fixed the problem and Digi hasn't. BTD sucks! it is a waste of time !

Re: 1 second bounce....
ODC,
either that or you can use the resulting files directly. Be sure to rename them within PT in order to have a .L/.R pair. These can be converted to aiff or dithered or burned to CD etc... dan |
