Default problem with ASSERTION IN FF AUDIOPROPERTY

Hey Folks,

A friend and I are working on a recording project. My friend has a digi 001 on a g4 1.2ghz running OS X 10.3 and Pro Tools 6.4 (I believe). Last night when we went to do a "Bounce to Disk" he got this error message: problem with ASSERTION IN FF AUDIOPROPERTY.CPP,LINE 33.

We had the session on my firewire drive, so I brought the drive home and opened up the session on my system (g4 466, OS X 10.2.8, Pro Tools 6.1.2, Mbox) and it worked just fine. No problems whatsoever.

Any ideas on how to fix the issue on the Digi 001?

I have heard (never had this problem myself) that this can be caused by having break points past the end of a song. You may want to do a search of the DUC for this topic being discussed in the past.

I had the exact same problem - having e-mailed Digidesign they got back to me really quickly with this:

Hi,

What do you have your DAE playback buffer set to. It should be left at the
default of 2. If you have it set to higher values it can cause Pro Tools
to throw this error when bouncing to disk. Please let me know if this does
not resolve your issue.

Best regards,
Digidesign Technical Support

Hope that helps,

John

I had the same problem and I'm not sure but I think it's a fade problem.... Try trashing the fades folder and let PT rebuild the fades... I remember deleting fades and redoing them and I think it worked.....
