Default 003 with PT 7.4 on Leopard on 2 x 3ghz Dual Core MacPro

Hi,

If the following answers are elsewhere, then perhaps someone can direct me.

I have a 003 and PTLE 7.4. Running Tiger at the moment. However, I need to install Leopard, as I have other Apple software, waiting to be upgraded (Aperture 2 etc) that will only work with Leopard. My questions are as follows:

How stable and how easy is it to get PTLE to work on Leopard?

I have Duende, Powercore Firewire, Liquid Mix and Ivory, Sythology and Waves plugs, as well as a whole range of Digi plugs; eleven etc. Does anyone know how compatible they are with Leopard?

I use FX wrapper for VST's and that's not great, but does work (ish) most of the time, are there issues with using this on Leopard.

I also use Logic, started to use it to note down ideas quickly, to then move the rough ideas to PT to record properly. Logic allows for great speed here, but PT shines when mixing still. Is it possible to use Logic with a 003, running 7.4 on Leopard?

Thanks for taking the time to read my post and look forward to any replies.

Cheers

Stu

Hey stu,
I run Logic studio with no problem on my 8 core dual 2.8 Mac Pro. Just make sure that your CPU does not go to sleep.
Pro tool LE 7.4 cs3 loads up fine but I have not run it fully yet to really confirm stability.

I would definitely not recommend Leopard as of yet. Even if PT LE 7.4 is running, it wont be optimal and you may have 3rd party plugins that don't work. Digi is working hard to help out the LE crowd. Those who couldn't resist those shiny new Leopard Macs now are posting threads about how they can DOWNGRADE to Tiger. Logic even has had a couple of reported issues in Leopard. I would sit tight.

Thats funny I run logic with no problem on my shiny new 8 core Mac Pro with Leopard 10.5.2. I have been using logic and many others ever since Atari 1040ST

I really just wish they'd say what they can't seem to say.
"we intend to charge for this upgrade, so if you could go ahead and get that $75 or more ready, that'd be great".

C'mon. Every time a new OS or new chipset comes out, it's time to pay apple and everybody else.

They (Digi) has already stated that:

Quote:
Leopard compatibility for LE products is scheduled to be a no cost dot release update to PT 7.4. that you will be able to download from our website
