Certain Plug-ins prevent Pro Tools from launching
Hello,
I'm running 003 Rack with the Factory Bundle on Windows XP SP2 with a Core 2 Duo and 2GB of RAM. I keep running into a problem where after I install certain plug-ins, pro tools will hang during launch. First I ran into this problem with D-Fi; Pro Tools would hang on LoFi.dpm. Then I had the same problem with Maxim; Pro Tools launch would hang on Maxim.dpm. For both of these, I have installed the latest PACE driver and have completed all the step necessary to put the authorizations on my iLok. They still freeze Pro Tools Launch. Now, I'm having the same problem with the installation of Structure Free. Pro Tools hangs on Structure.dpm when launching. I've scoured the forums and while I've found many people who have had the same problems, I haven't found any solutions. Can someone help? |

I should also add that I'm running PT LE 7.4cs5.

Anyone?
Does anyone have any experience with this or know how to fix it? |

Just to follow up. I spoke with Digidesign support for about an hour and half trying to resolve this issue and they were unable to fix it despite the fact that my system meets all digidesign requirements. The technician basically told me that he was out of ideas and apologized.
So, to my great disappointment, I guess I'll be returning my 003 and going with another DAW. |

Did you run the Digi plug updater?

Yep, we ran everything, tried everything, and nothing worked. The support guy actually gave up.

Could you please download and install the Tech Support Utility, run it, select "3. Generate Version List", and post the results from the text file that is created here. It will help us give you more accurate advice.
It would also be extremely helpful if you could post the specifications about your computer using the instructions found at the end of the General Troubleshooting sticky at the top of the main posts list in this forum.

I'm going to look into the notes from your call, but in the meantime spkguitar's recommendation of posting a plug-in version list is the way to go.
I'm thinking that you have old/outdated/incompatible plug-ins installed - did you ever have a different version of Pro Tools installed on this computer or install plug-ins from anywhere other than the standard Pro Tools installer? |

Thanks. Any other audio software installed?
Should I copy those instructions here?
