I recently purchased an Apple Mac G4 Quicksilver and am having difficulty installing Pro Tools version 6.1. I have installed the hardware but when I attempt to install the software a large Pro Tools logo fills the screen and nothing else happens. I am pretty sure that all of the computers specifications are up to scratch.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

You may be, but the rest of us have no way of knowing what those specs are.
Unless you are on Jaguar (Mac OS X 10.2), ptle 6.1 will not work. Check the Compatibility link above for version compatibility and udpate info.

Schoolboy error; software needs updating to 6.4. Lost my authorisation code though so have had to email Digidesign.
