Brief report from PT 6.0 Tour, Detroit stop.

I went to the PT 6.0 tour in Detroit last night, and I apologize if any of this is old news, but here's what was interesting to me:

1. PTLE 6.1 for Windows, should be out June-July.

2. Beat detective is still up in the air for Win, may happen, may not.

3. Soft synth and similar MIDI outside PTLE applications will be converted to more of a plugin type application using what is like "HDTM" for the TDM systems, basically a "HLE" instead of RTAS.

4. They expect 3rd party plug in manufacturers to be on board with xp 6.1 within weeks of its release.

5. Rumors that WINXP may see more MAC-only plugins show up like McDSP now that there's a stable/updatable/coders-don't-have-to-start-all-over-every-time-theres-an-update(win95-98-00-ME)-pla tform-for-windows (just a rumor).
