Default BFD2

Was having stability problems whenever I ran bfd2....windows would close down protools whenever I opened it on an insert point and tried to do anything. Also crashed when it ran stand-alone. I e-mailed fx with the specifics and the logs generated when it crashed.
You can imagine my surprise when they e-mailed me back saying bfd2 is not supported with LE7.4 and XP home...I must be using XP pro. Their website clearly states under minimum requirements.." Windows XP SP1 or higher, Vista 32, P4 or better CPU" Also on the box I received with the BFD2 DVD's it says " Windows XP (SP 2 recommended ), Vista OSX10.4 or higher.
Anybody else having these issues?? Will have to see how this plays out before I get too irate...in the meantime it's back to Strike and the content expansion.

77pro,
You’re not alone. I have experienced the same problem with BFD2. BFD2 looks to be much more complex then the initial BFD program. After I inserted the program on an instrument track, the program operated sluggishly, hung on occasion and then eventually crashed when I tried to play a groove. I checked their web page and found no help to resolving my problems. I never new that the program was incompatible with PT 7.4—interesting. Well, back to Strike.

I don't use BFD 2 (or BFD 1), but when Stylus RMX starts to get sluggish and quirky I delete the "Digidesign Databases" folders from all mounted drives.

Turns out when I sent in my initial report they misread "running on PT LE7.4" as "PT HD7.4" Big difference....HD needs XP pro , not LE. So now they can send my run logs to QC and see if they can find the problem.

I just noticed an update to ver. 2.0.2, dated today , I'll update and see what happens.

Looks like I'll be spending some time on the fx forum......

Upgraded to the latest version (2.0.2 b5) that was released this morning. So far, so good. No more crashes and it sounds excellent!!!
