Default For the love of God, help!

I'm trying to find a decent, affordable laptop to run protools 7 on. Does this look like a good one to get? If not can someone help me figire out what I need. I've been all over the digi and M audio sites but can't find any help.

yeah that should be good enuf...but u can get a way more power DAW if u go for a desk top PC and build it urself...build a dual-core DAW u'll have much more fun!

Cool, thanks. I appreciate the help. I'll be using a 200gb external hard drive as well. That'll help with the speed, yes?

Go for the Gateway AMD64 machines. They are the same as the emachines m68xx AMD64 series of laptops. And are proven workjorses and they have no compatabilty issues at all.

I use an M6805 myself.

I'll second that. (but what's a workjorse? )

Best buy has the Gateway 3400+ for just under a grand.
