Reduce clip volume
I'm wanting to reduce all the volume breakpoints in a clip by the same amount - I'm just not seeing how to do this. :-(

Re: Reduce clip volume
Go past the last volume node and lower the line. Or, use a Trim plug-in.

Re: Reduce clip volume
Hi Weed, I'm afraid I'm going to need a simple English answer

Re: Reduce clip volume
No English here, this is Mac Avidspeak. Try this. Select the clip(s), hold down Shift+Control (Mac), and while holding them, type the up or down arrows on your keyboard to raise or lower the club gain. (The default is .5 dB per arrow click, but I increase my setting to 1.0 dBs.)

Re: Reduce clip volume
On a clip with volume breakpoints, can also use the icon in bottom left corner. Raising or lowering that fader will raise or lower all breakpoints together.

Re: Reduce clip volume
It really depends if you're talking about clip gain or volume automation.

Re: Reduce clip volume
For volume automation, just go past the last breakpoint and the volume edit tool(the sideways ]) will adjust the entire volume line up/down. And yes, the Trim tool can work, as can adjusting the output of the last plugin on a track(if it has an output control).
