The SYNC video reference is now/not present.

I continue to get this POP-UP while running a session it is jumping back and forth between saying

The SYNC Video reference is not present. Although the system will still play, it will not properly align playback to a video frame edge until the video reference is restored.

Then the next POP-UP in pro tools

The SYNC video reference is now present. it continues to go back and forth.

I have never had the error before until I had to unplug my system and reconnect everything.

HARDWARE:

HD 002 with one 192 and a SYNC

PROTOOLS:

I just did a safe unistall of Protools v8 reinstalled it and then updated it to 8.0.1

COMPUTER:

MAC OS X Version 10.5.5
Processor 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Memory 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM


I also have an SD MOJO hooked up to the system and I tried disconnecting the MOJO all together and firing up Pro Tools and I still get the same alternating POP-UPs

Also I ran the DIGI Test on the Hardware and Passed it and ran the SYNC Firmware update

Any other suggestions or answers would be helpful

Interesting.

I had exactly this recently. I changed the BNC cable from my Vid Ref to the Sync HD and haven't had it since.

Seems a strange coincidence though.

My sync IO needs a video terminator on the video ref loop thru in order to see the blackburst properly.
