sustain pedal problems in 6.4LE

I'm using a DIGI 001 on a computer that in all other respects runs protools very well and has plenty of power. When I record MIDI, most noticeable when triggering digital pianos, the sustain pedal will cut out intermittently . It never does this when the track is merely record enabled, only while actually recording. I've used different virtual instruments, different versions of protools (did the same thing on 6.1.) Anybody know what's going on and how I can fix this? Thanks.

It still does this in Pro Tools 8!! I'm thinking there are no pianists at Digi. I love the Mini-Grand, I just wish I could record it properly. Please, fix this!
