OT- Groove Tube AM 62 Mic

I have a chance to buy a new Groove Tube AM 62 at a closeout price. Sounds good to my ear but It's still considerably more money than the new Rode NT-1A would be. Heard very good things about 'low self noise' on the NT and some what higher on the GT. Anyone have any experience with the AM 62? (neg or pos). I realize that mic use and sound is very subjective....

This guy basically doesn't like it. I like my NT1-a, and it cost about $175. For about $400, the Rode NTK is a very popular tube mic.

Thanks Tele, I had actually seen that article and since I was unfamiliar with it's author I wanted to see if perhaps the DUC had anything, maybe a little less skewed. I'll keep searching.
