Default firmware updates?

Hiya,
is there a section where I can update my firmware on the digidesign site?? Can't seem to find it!

You don't need to download anything - the software is already on your computer and needs to be downloaded to the 002.

How do you do it then? Every time I start up my digi it says I need to update the firmware, and gives me two buttons. One that says 'download', and the other I think says 'later'. Doesn't matter if I'm online or anything. I always get an error saying the firmware could not be updated. I'm on mac os x 10.2.8.

with you there, it loads for a while when I hit the download, but then stops, any idea what's wrong here people??

"Download" in this instance means download from the CD-ROM that came with the 002R. The firmware on the CD is usually newer than the firmware that comes in the 002R.

Put the CD in the computer and then try starting ProTools, and then use the "Download" button. It worked for me.

Yep. Worked fine with the cd in. Took a little while, 5 minutes or so, but it's been fine since then. Thanks!
