MOJO Troubles - Skipped Frames at Video Start
Hello all,
We are having trouble playing High Quality video files smoothly on our MOJO.... Motion JPEGs seem to work the best, but the video always skips frames at the beginning, and the playback head stutters too for about the first second or two, then things smooth out. It works ok when you give it 1-2 seconds of preroll, but of course that's not practical while you're trying to edit. We've bought new hard drives, RAM, tried swapping MOJO's to make sure there was nothing wrong there, etc etc but the problem persists. I am running ProTools 9 OS 10.6.8 2 x 2.4 Ghz Quad-Core INtel Xeon 32 GB RAM Two separate hard drives for Session and Video file, each is 10,000 RPM Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've heard good things about Blackmagic cards too, though the SD output sounds like it isn't good. -etwilliamson |
