Default Loosing Audio Files after import Session Data

I'm on pro tools 7.1, 002r running core 2 duo intel with windows xp sp2. I'm still hesitant to upgrade to even 7.4. But for Start/Stop/Pause issue, system has been real stable.....until yesterday. I imported session data from one hard drive onto a new one in a second hard drive. I selected option to "copy from source drive". It worked fine and always has. However, after recording a screaming guitar solo yesterday, my co-engineering opened the session today and tried to record a base track and there were absolutely no audio files in the session at all. What's up with that? I seem to recall a mention or two about this bug somewhere in the forum, so can any one point me in the right direction for a fix or have any suggestions. The files must still be on the drive onto which they were copied and imported, but how to restore? Help! Thanks.

In the Disk Allocation Window are they going to the drive you thought they were going?
