Digital Expansion Card on 1992 Digital...Possible?

Can a 192 digital expansion card be put into a 192 digital interface? It would increase the TDIF and AES to 24 I/O. Has anyone done it or know anyone who has? Everything I've read talks about expnding the regular 192, but I can't find anything that says I can or cannot expand the 192 digital.

I have a 192 Digital and checked into this. Somewhere Digidesign states that you can not expand the 192 Digital (it may be in the manual - sorry I don't have it here at home to look it up).

From the 192 Digital I/O manual*, pg. 5:

“The two empty bays (located in the middle of the rear panel) are not expandable.”
