Default Recommendation for a midi sound module

I am about to do some solo gigs using some midi files that I modified and then re-recorded to pro tools, adding other instruments and background vocals. I have an old Roland G800 keyboard which does a fair job of interpreting midi files and sounds pretty good. It does however require that the SMF are input through an archaic floppy disc drive which I'm sure will fail at some point never to be resurrected. Is there a good sounding module out there which will give me quality standard sounds, piano, drums etc and yet have a more modern method of file storage and input?
thanks
Mick
