.ptx session file icons have changed to blue after installing 2024.6

Anyone else notice this after they installed 2024.6? I'm still on Ventura (13.6.6). PT files (now blue) don't match the main app icon now (purple) but no worries, my OCD hasn't noticed ye...........................

Uh oh. It's bugging me.

I like the new blue .ptx icon. Just wish PT and EuControl matched it. Did I do something dumb or is this a sign of new main app graphics to come?

It's a new PTX icon. Until this version, PTX icons were based off of the last generation of the Pro Tools App icon, which hasn't been around since late 2020.

It totally does not match the look of the current app though, so maybe it's a preview of a new App icon coming in 2028.

I noticed that, and.... I haven't look at it in great detail, but the colors of Templates in the "New Session (from Template)" launch window are GREEN and say "Template" on the icon - or most of the word. I'm not at my workstation to confirm.

Maybe someone who uses "Projects" or Sketch files could check and see if those documents show as different colors as well?

So after testing out 24.6 in between big projects, my colleague and I weren't confident enough to trust it on the next wave of projects and rolled back to 2023.12.1, which is super stable for both of us.



Weird thing though, the session file icons are STAYING the blue color after rolling back. Nothing else weird seems to be happening in the actual sessions, but it did set off alarm bells for both of us. Is there any reason or possible background issues that could cause this, or cause any reason for concern?



I uninstalled 24.6 via the terminal command uninstaller, he installed 23.12.1 overtop of 24.6 fyi. Both trashed preferences before and after.
