Default Wall of sound? How about a wall of ****.

Last night I was doing a typical live recording with my 001 at a club we were playing. With two small diaphram condensors and a stereo feed off of the board. This has always worked GREAT before and things were going along fine.

The last song of the band before us I went up and started it recording, good levels and all that. We did our set and when I went back to check, Protools was not up and running. Uh oh, and when I opened up the session there were no regions. The audio files were in the folder though and they were 1.9 gig each so it looked like we got it.

When I got home and imported the regions the band before us stuff sounded great and right before we began playing something happeded. Instead of the killer audio I had a wall of serious noise and the wave overviews showed solid color from top to bottom.

The only thing I did different this time was to record to the OS hard drive since my second one was full. This could have been the cause. What do you guys think?

Needless to say today I am going to buy a new hard drive.

Peace,
Jason
