Default Bouncing Songs

Im pretty new to pro tools so im not sure if there's something special you have to do before bouncing/exporting a song, but every time I bounce a song when I open it to listen, its way too loud the whole song is pretty much clipping the whole way through, but while im mixing it the tracks sound fine. Haven't seen anything online about this yet anyone care to help?

Default Re: Bouncing Songs

Are you using a master fader? If not I'd recommend that, and turn it down a bit before bounce.

Track, New, 1 Stereo Master, or close to that - not at my PT box
Then set each track to output to the master, and set the Master output to the appropriate audio interface output.

Default Re: Bouncing Songs

How are you listening to the mix after you bounce? That can make a huge difference. For me, I send all non-PT audio out via the optical SPDIF of my computer and select between sources with a Presonus Central Station. I set audio properties in Windows to match the volume of Pro Tools. My mixes play at the same level after the bounce as they sound during the bounce. Hope you get it sorted
