Default Bounce to disc quality issue

I'm running Pro Tools 10 through a Macbook Pro and a Glyph external drive using an Apogee Duet silver face as the interface. I'm trying to bounce to disc a mix I recently completed but it always comes out at a significantly reduced volume and an odd mix. I'm mixing an irish duo with stereo Accordion, vocal, stomp box and Bouzar (stringed rhythm instrument). I've done this type of bounce in the past with excellent results, but for some reason it's acting odd. I've also noticed that the volume out of pro tools through the Duet, is lower than the headphone send. Another new development. I've been transferring tracks through an Digi 02 Rack and have re connected numerous times throughout the process. I also notice that the Apogee software loads twice. Could I have inadvertently downloaded 2 copies?

Any thoughts on the problem? How can I remove one of the Duet drivers?

Thanks!

How is your I/O setup - as in, what is your master stereo out and what is your mix source in the bounce dialog?

Chris

Default Re: Bounce to disc quality issue

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the response. The internet has been down here so I have been unable to reply until now, but you were right on the money. I found that the mix source in the bounce had changed to Bus 1-2 rather than the master stereo out.

I've been told the PT sometimes switches things, but missed that. Thanks VERY much!
