Default macOS Monterey 12.6

Yet another important security update from Apple.

What the hell, are hackers messing with my EQ settings while I try to work?

Anyway, any reason we shouldn't update now as far as PT compatibility?

The suspicion that 2022.9 or 2022.10 is on its way "soon"....

...I hope it will be "qualified" with the OS it would be nice to be current "with"...

Updated to MacOS 12.6 on a MBP M1 max right after the public release. As noted, it is mainly a security release. Have not experienced any difference from MacOS 12.5.1 concerning PT use.

New trend in hacking: nuisance remote remixing.

Every time I turn on my PC (once a week) there's an update. I don't mind Apple keeping up with the various, but infrequent, vulnerabilities.

I'm running 12.6 and so far it seems good, and may have fixed periodic UI pauses/beachballs that were making Monterey ugly for me. I still have not tracked that down. Hope to find time to work on it/see if I can find what changed.

After I updated to 12.6 and reopen my current session I got several 7054 errors on some plugins (Altiverb7, McDSP SA2, Pro Subharmonic ....)
Had to reinstall them to get rid of the issue
weird !!!

Just got a new Apple Mac Studio, upgraded to macOS 12.6, and installed Protools 2022.7 (Studio). All the basics seems to be running fine so far. I'm still installing my plugins and testing. I'll report if there are any issues.

All seems to be fine here with the exception of a few Arturia instruments not opening in their standalone variants. (However, i'm not certain that is a new thing with 12.6)

I don't know if this is just something I never noticed before, or something 12.6 related - VCA meter bug seems to be sticking around? There is also a GUI lag when putting channels out of trim mode, where the send faders stay gold until I run a mouse over them.
