Default How do you install the Pro Tools 8 .dlm file Download Manager creates?

Hi There,

This will sound like a stupid question but what do you do with the Pro_Tools_Le_v8_56245.dmg.dlm file Download Manager creates?

OSX doesn't know what to do with it and removing the .dlm to create a .dmg file results in a "Content Unrecognized" error when trying to mount it.

I've chosen to download the rest of the files the normal way (which seems to work better) but really don't want to download the 4GB main updater again.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Ah.. the .dlm file is an incomplete file downloaded from the Internet using Akamai Download Manager; saved temporarily while the file is downloading; once the download finishes, the ".dlm" extension is replaced with file's original extension.

If your seeing this file instead of the completed .dmg, then your closing the download manager (popup window) before the download had time to complete.

I found the download manager to be a bit of pain - had control over some files but not others. Looks like I'll just download it again using the browser.

Thanks for the reply.
