i'm cloned and ready to pull the ripcord.

the bit problem is...my 7.2 90 days of tech support is out the window with the new config

but i can always clone from my back up if it is whack.

another issue is ..what little quirks are happening now....

can i remember them if they pop up again in 10.4.8

thanks Jimmy.. I may try this one.. Does not look like anything problematic, See

Go to this link:
http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?...60929112720551 and look
on the right side of the page for your update. There are other
updates as well; if you installed the 7.0 version of iTunes, there is
a repair for the problems in the 7.0.1 update. If you are still on
iTunes 6.0.4 or 6.0.5, and you don't care about movies or the new
features, stick with what you have.

I recommend you go to Apple and download the Combo Update, not the
Delta update. For Intel it's almost 300 megabytes, and the PPC
version is 2/3 that size. But the Combo update is safer.

Cheers, G

Everything has been ok for a few days, but last night I started to have errors. I couldn't RTD after finishing the mix. Too many RTAS plugs, remove some plugs and retry (roughly). I don't have any RTAS plugs on the session. ALL TDM. My PCI and CPU meters are so low, they almost don't ever register...even on playback.

running 7.2cs1 HD3 Accel

Sure, I did work on a 44 track mix today that had TDM/RTAS plugins as well as Reason Rewired, and a few virtual instruments. No problems. I am waiting on 7.2 as well although I got Live 6 this weekend so I may be messing with that a bit to try out some of the new features.

Not much, it's just some security updates for Airport users and as such I doubt it would break anything . . . works fine here with 7.2cs1, but YMMV.

Working fine here - 7.2 with HD3 Accel on 10.4.8 on a G5 2.7 with 4GB Ram.
No issues with the OS update so far - as jimlongo points out I don't believe there is anything in the update that would screw things up.

But of course best practice would dictate you stick with what Digi has qualified - I just like to play and gamble with whats new! I can always take my system back if it breaks as its all backed up.
