Default Error when importing via Sonomic

Hey everyone. So, we get an Assertion error sometimes when importing from Sonomic, or TLS as it's called now. Specifically;

Sys_FileLoc.cpp line 188

I've talked to Arinze over at Sonomic, and he says that TLS doesn't have an assertion error in it's error list. The error comes up with the new ProTools logo in the window. We haven't been able to discern any pattern as yet. Has anyone else seen this?

PT 7.1cs9
Mac OSX 10.4.6
G5 2 Dual2.7Ghz
2.5 Gb RAM

Thanks, Ninja Bob

Are you dragging and dropping from the Workspace or the desktop?

If so, this is a known issue. You should use 'Import Audio to Track' or to the regions bin to get around this problem until we come out with a fix.

I don't think we've ever brought files into a session that way. What happens is, we find the effects we want on the server in TLS. There is an Import function that puts the files directly into the session, copying the audio into the Audio Files folder and adding the files to the Audio bin. Could this be functionally the same process as dragging the files from the workspace or desktop? Also, is the "line 188" revealing in any way. I've seen different "line" numbers in other posts, I just wonder what it relates to.

Thanks, Ninja Bob

So I suggested the bug to Arinze at Sonomic, but he said that's not how the import function works. He said,"TLS does support drag and drop but that's not how we are doing the imports. We use the apis provided by digi." Does this suggest anything to you as to why we keep getting the assertion errors?

Thanks, Ninja Bob

Please install the cs1 update and see if that fixes the problem.
