Default No Plugins (free or otherwise)

I have missing Plugins.
When I try to load a plugin via insert I get the following message:

Missing AAX Plug-Ins
One or more tracks contain plug-ins that don't exist in your plug-in folder

Essentially I have no plugins (free or otherwise bundled with my Focusrite).

It is as if there are no plugins installed but PT 1st is working fine, just no plugins!

Could anyone assist??

Many thanks.

I am not and expert on PT first...However, for PT 12 my plug ins and instruments were a separate downloads. If this is the case you should be able to see them under my products on the Avid site.

Best,
John

3rd party plugins do not work with PT|First, only the ones bought from Avid Marketplace

Thanks for the advice everyone.

From the research I have done I have noted that third-party plugins don't work with PT1st.

I have seen posts which infer that plugins bundled with an interface (in this case a Forcusrite) do work, However none of the plugins that come with the PT1st seem to be present which is weird.

I have tried downloading all the files in the links provided but nothing has worked. I am now thinking I need to reinstall but not sure if I am going to loose my projects if I do so??

As mentioned many times before: The plugins that come with focusrite or m-audio interfaces are bundles for pro tools first. They do work. Other 3rd party may or not work. For instance the whole izotope elements suite works with Pro tools first.

Very important: Not every plugin will be shown in your ilok license manager.

I use PTF since 2015 and do use it with 55 plugins (Eleven Effects, Eleven lite, Focusrite red Comp and Eq, Softube Time and Tone Bundle, Addictive Keys etc that all came with the purchase of my scarlett.)

In January this year i bought the First Air Instrument bundle from the avid marketplace and it also works as expected. The strange thing is that this is not shown in my ilok Account, and i got no download in my account. So i had to download it from the Download area.

Anyhow, don‘t let anyone tell you other than - your bundle plugins should work. Maybe try a fresh install

Hi Netmania,
Jumping in here with a follow up question to something in your last post. You said "Other 3rd party may or not work. For instance the whole izotope elements suite works with Pro tools first. "

Wondering, can you please illuminate me how to get the Izotope Elements plugins into Pro Tools First?

I've looked in my plugins folder: Library/Applications Support/Avid/Audio Plugins and I see the Izotope plugins there, but when I open ProTools First they are nowhere to be found. I've looked in the Inserts as well as Audiosuite.

I'm on a Mac mini running Catalina.

Thanks!

Hi, maybe it's because of how the isotope plugins are registered. I have installed and registered them with isotope Product Portal. Every plugin from the elements suite is shown up and works - in Audio Suite swell as in the In-Output Channels on tracks.

HI,
Thank so much for the reply.

yeah, I do have my Izoptope plugins installed and registered via their portal. I double checked it. But they still don't show up in PT First. Weird how you were able to do it.

Izotope is telling me it's cause I'm using the free version of PT.

Oh well, I guess you got lucky :)

Netmania,
Thanks for that video. The guy in the video also seems mystified by this. Maybe it's because of what may or may not come with the interface? I'm also wondering if it's a difference between Mac and Windows? The guy in the video said the plugins didn't show up on his Mac on PTF, but they are showing up on his Windows laptop.

Anyway, thanks for the response.
