3 questions about AVID HDX-1 TB3 chassis

Bringing this old thread back. My chassis is loud. Loudest item in my control room and I have an Omni and 3 192s.

Gotta look into a quieter fan for it. Do these have firmware updates?

Fan is noisy, hdx fan is noisier still, too load to be in the same room for me. Looking for options on quieter fans for both. Burying it in a rack helps a little.

2 years later... anyone ever figure out a good replacement fan for the TB3 chassis? I have mine unplugged, and cracked the top of the chassis for airflow to the HDX card.

I've been using min for a few years. I think its the fan on the HDX card thats really noisy but the T-bolt box adds a little more noise. These are too loud for the control room. I had to put mine in a machine room. Maybe I'll look into replacing the fan in the HDX card, but it still likely would not be quiet enough to leave in the room with me while listening. Again, almost all of that noise is due to the HDX fan.
