Default Multiple User Account problems

Hi all,

I know this has been asked, in fact I have asked this before but never got an answer. Has anyone gotten 2 or more user accounts on 10.4.X to work with PT7LE7.1? If so, can you please give detailed instructions on how you did it. No matter what I do PT7LE quits before it finished loading if I try to boot it with any account other than my main one. And yes, the second account I have set up is set up as an Admin account.

What about re-loading the software into the dedicated user account I have created...anyone try that? DigiTechSupt - is this a know issue with PTLE7.1?

Thanks,

Dave

This should work just fine - what kinds of problems are you seeing, exactly?

Keep in mind certain plug-ins may need to be reauthorized when using a new account and may not function at all under a standard user account.

Try this;

Get Info for PTLE 7.1 and change Ownership & Permissions details for Group to "Admin" and "Read & Write". If PTLE still won't open in your second admin account (and it didn't for me!), then try changing O&P's for Group to "Everyone" and "Read and Write". When I did that, PTLE opened OK in my second admin user account. I then changed the O&P's details for Group back to "Admin" and PTLE still opens OK.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the responses. I actually had the O&P settings correct...come to find out, an Antares plug-in was causing the crash - Auto Tune must be authorized at the User level and not at the local level. Thanks again,

Dave

Despite what this DigiTechSupport person said, the one in this post says that it is indeed a known issue in 7.1.
