MTRX and session sample rate and slaved clocking
Just wondering if the MTRX the is slaved to an external word clock at 96khz with the full sized dual MADI card with SRC and Dante with SRC will be able to open sessions with various sample rates but stay slaved and convert the outputs to 96khz to the madi and dante devices as well as receive inputs from those devices at 96khz. I'm doing that with the HD MADI converter perfectly, any session sample rate i open will work and it converts it to 96khz to the MADI devices and vice versa when I record from those devices to a session that isn't at 96khz. Thanks!

Re: MTRX and session sample rate and slaved clocking
Greetings,
The MADI option card (populated with SFPs) installed into a MTRX unit can perform Input Sample Rate Conversion. The HD MADI IO offers both Input and Output Sample Rate Conversion. So - whatever rate incoming MADI content is being converted to the rate of the clock (whether clocked internally or externally). There is no ability to convert to a different rate on MADI output than the clocked rate of the unit. best, Jeff |
