Default using 002 for guitar practicing

Hello!

I have a question about the 002 interface. Let's say that I want to play on my guitar through my Line6 PodXT Pro (that's connected to the 7-8 input on the digi002R) and play along with an mp3 track.
How do I do this most easily?

Is there a way to do this outside of protools?
I had a moto interface before and that worked really well.

Thanks for helping out!

Default Re: using 002 for guitar practicing

creat a new session, insert your mp3 file (mp3 option required, or the Toolkit)
then creat an aux track with inputs the same as your POD, hit play so the mp3 plays, and play along

if you want to record it then obviously create an audio track, and record away, but just for playing purposes an aux track will do..
