I am a video-editor. Mostly on tape-systems, but also on the avid. Before that i was a system-administrator and helpdesk guy. I do FOH mixes (mostly in bars) and recording (also on location with an adat) as a hobby that grew slightly out of control. I also play around a bit wit a keyboard......

I am the Supervisor of Radio & TV for the Mayor's Office in New York City. I'm responsible for doing live sound for the Mayor's Press Conferences, Receptions, and also deal with the City Council. I provide audio feeds for all of the television and radio networks. I also stream many of the events live on the city's web-site. I record various Public Service Announcements of the Mayor for radio. I'm also responsible for archiving the audio of the events.
It can be frustrating at times because I'll supply the networks a quiet, clean, strong signal, and when I watch the news they destroy it by compressing the crap out of it. Audio I prepare for the internet also gets destroyed sometimes because they will encode it at a very low bit rate. But it is indeed a great job.

I am a designer. Have been for about 10 years with with various titles like Illustrator, Production Artist , Graphic Artist, Designer, Multimedia Designer, Web Designer and general slave to corporate style. I've just gotten back from a photo gig in Chicago. So ther'es some perks. I develop branding and concept new products. I build layouts for packaging and off-pack advertising also. It's so similar to producing and engineering that I can generally relate the issues, technologically, and creatively that are always the buzz around the DUC. Otherwise I go home to a functional if spartan home recording system where I am blessed at not having clients, or agendas or anyone but my ideas to serve.

I earned most of my modest bread as an IT project manager and consultant while doing performing/writing/producing part-time. Since I'm now between contracts, I'm back to being a full-time songwriter and part-time producer and musician.
