New Laptop Question - Integrated GFX or Discreet GFX???
Hey just wanted some thoughts on this if anyone has the time...
I'm looking at the Lenovo Thinkpad T510 and have the option of either: 1) Intel Integrated HD Graphics with Always On USB or... 2) NVIDIA NVS 3100m Graphics with 512MB DDR3 Memory From what I gather Pro Tools performs better with a lower memory Graphics card which is leaning me toward the Integrated option but I also use laptop on tour to watch movies quite often (No games or anything). Any idea if going with the Integrated option would affect the quality of movie playback??? I would happily drop the GFX card for the Pro Tools performance increase but I'd hate it to ruin the movie experience. Anyone shed any light on this??? Steve |

Re: New Laptop Question - Integrated GFX or Discreet GFX???
if you just want to watch some movies/dvds/bluerays, then just go for the integrated graphics
me thinks that you only need that much video-ram and graphicpower when you want to play (new) games or edit videos/photos and stuff |
