there's a posting at ProSoundWeb.com hinting that there will be a new addition to the VENUE family announced at the PLASA show in a couple of weeks?

any tidbits that could be shared in advance of the show?

even generalities would be fine (i.e. - "we are aiming at taking down the Yamaha PM5D")

New product to ensure Digi world domination, not a specific upgrade to Venue. Rumours fly fast and frequent when you're 20 miles from the factory and someone who works on hardware designs for Digi attends your church!

No, I meant another product which is what the D-Show Profile is. I had been given info by a little birdie that Digi was going to put out a smaller format version of the D-Show. This was actually a smarter idea though because a smaller compatible "mouse" still lets them leverage everything that they developed for the entire Venue system. Same system, same software, smaller mouse (less expensive) mouse. I'm sure that eventually the live sound side will operate like the PT side. Products that fit every price point still running from the exact same hardware. Again ensuring Digi "WORLD DOMINATION!!!" (insert evil laugh here). I'm all for it. Anything that extends the life of my system and allows them to continue to update the software I'm happy about.
