Error 3 PT unexpectedly quit?

I have been seeing this error more and more. I am running PT 4.3.2 on a beige G3 233. I have initialized the drives I am working on, I have trashed the preferences and I think this has made it worse. I could use some help because now it is doing it when set up my peripheral devises.

Try trashing the the DigiSetup file in the Preferences folder. Then restart and hold down the option and comand keys. The Mac will ask you if you want to rebuild the desktop. Click OK. This may help.

What OS are you using? I've seen this in the past with OS 8.1 when quitting Pro Tools and we couldn't track it down. Upgrading to OS 8.6 cured the problem. If this is not the case and you've already trashed the Digi Setup file, DAE folder preference, and Pro Tools preferences then I would look to reinstalling Pro Tools and custom install a OS.

You are probably right about the operating system I am using 8.1. I am in the process of changing to OS9 but am having trouble tracking down all the upgrades for my system.
I have ordered PT5 should have been here today. Now I am waiting for a Mezzo update compatible with OS9 (that is for another thread sorry). I need to be up and running again by next week I will try to see what fixes it.
